Radiologic features seen in a case of pulmonary emphysema (Chest X-ray PA view):
- Prominent pulmonary artery shadows in the hilum
- Spaces, inflated thin-walled ( bullae formation)
- Translucent lung fields
- Ribs, widely placed and more horizontal
- Absence of peripheral vascular markings
- Narrow and Tubular heart
- Reduced level of diaphragm (low-set and flat)
Chest X-ray Lateral view: Large retrosternal translucency!
That's all
Hope it helps.
