Protein synthesis inhibitors mnemonic

Aminoglycosides and Linezolid prevent the formation of the initiation complex.

Image reference: The two oranges dudes with the tridents are preventing initiation by preventing attachment to the P site 3:)

Chloramphenicol: Inhibits peptide bond formation by peptidyltransferase.

Macrolides and Clindamycin inhibit translocation.

Tetracyclines and Streptogramins prevent the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosomal acceptor (A) site.
