Here's a short post on Goodpastures syndrome!
- Lung and kidney involvement
- Symptoms: Hemoptysis, hematuria
- Best initial: Antiglomerular basement membrane antibodies
- Most accurate: Linear immunofluorescence staining for IgG on biopsy
- Treatment:
Plasmapheresis for lung hemorrhage can be life saving.
Steroids and cyclophosphamide.
