Cystic fibrosis and prolonged neonatal jaundice

Why does cystic fibrosis cause prolonged neonatal jaundice?

Jaundice in CF is probably due to extrahepatic biliary obstruction from bile of increased density, with secondary intrahepatic bile stasis.

That's all!
