Drugs causing Thrombocytopenia mnemonic

Hi!

Drugs inhibiting platelet function/ causing Thrombocytopenia :-

ABCDE - HI

anti- Arrhythmics: quinidine, beta-blockers
antiBiotics: Penicillins, cephalosporins, sulphonamides
anti- Coagulants: Heparin
Dextran (blood plasma substitute)
anti- Epileptics: Valproic acid
-
anti- Histamines: cimetidine
anti- Inflammatory: Aspirin, Indomethacin.

    Q - quinine
    A - abciximab
    N - NSAIDs
    A - antibiotics (penicillin, sulphonamides, rifampicin)
    D - diuretics (furosemide)
    A - anticonvulsants (carbamezapine, valproate)
    H - heparin
