Rickettsia, are small, gram negative, non motile, rod shaped bacterium.
Transmission: Rickettsia requires an arthropod vector for transmission.
Metabolism: It is an obligate intracellular parasite. They can not make there own ATP.
Clinical: Damages the endothelial cells lining blood vessels.
