Here are a few things you should know about rickettsia!
Rickettsia, are small, gram-negative, nonmotile, rod-shaped bacterium.
Transmission: Rickettsia requires an arthropod vector for transmission.
Metabolism: It is an obligate intracellular parasite. They can not make there own ATP.
Clinical: Damages the endothelial cells lining blood vessels.
In the diagram below, rickettsia generalities are shown: Riding on arthropod, saying we must go to ATP house, meaning cell and then he turned back to endothelium to injure it.
