This lil instrument is a needle which is used like a knife B-)
How cool is that?
It has a bent tip which is sharp on both edges.
Use? CAPSULOtome.. Yep, you guessed it right, used for cutting capsules (Anterior capsulotomy or capsulorhexis during ECCE).
Cool fact: You can prepare it by bending a disposable 26 gauge or 30 gauge hypodermic needle.
