  1. Query? Block-1, Question #32: I am suspecting the diagnosis here is Partial Horner's Syndrome- Ptosis, miosis without anhidrosis. The main etio for this presentation is Internal carotid artery dissection and the diagnosis could be made by doing Doppler USG of carotids.
The answer key says, B. CT scan of the thorax. Can you please let me know your input on this?

    1. In any smoker, suspect lung cancer.

We are suspecting Superior sulcus tumor (SST) or Pancoast tumor hence, CT is the imaging modality of choice.

I like your thought process on ICA dissection - it is a good differential, however, our patient does not have any risk factors for dissection such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hyperhomocysteinemia - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3026338/
