Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn's disease and rectal involvement

Greetings everyone!

Here's a short post on how to remember that rectum is involved in Ulcerative Colitis (And spared in Crohn's disease.)

Mnemonic: ulCER ends with "Rec" for RECtum

That's all!

Updated on 2nd June, 2016:
So I read this in Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, it states, “Unlike Ulcerative colitis, which almost always involves the rectum, the rectum is often spared in Crohn's disease.”
Just to clarify that yes, Crohns may involve any part of the GI tract from the mouth to the anus, including the rectum.
